Gurney Plaza Sucks

Went to Gurney plaza yesterday because Izza mengidam Chilis. Before Queensbay Mall was in operation, we used to hang out, spoil our tummy, “cuci” mata, in other words melepaskan rindu kami dengan malls in KL. Yesterday’s trip was the first after a year plus tak pergi. They have a new a wing now, more shops, more parking space, more crowds, yada yada yada..

Have you been to their Surau? It’s at the parking space, 5th floor. Dari dulu sampai sekarang sama je..sama smells, dark, it gives us this rowdy feeling, worst it doesn’t have an abulation area for women. So jadi macam toilet Ally Mcbeal. I just hate places yang tak ikhlas nak buat Surau. You have this multi-million shopping centre with classy and expensive tenants tapi simple, proper surau tak boleh nak buat! Why? Nak kena tunggu bayar nak sembahyang baru nak buat elok-elok ke? Or you don’t give a damn because yang menggunakan tu hanya orang-orang “miskin”? Just for your info, the rich Arabs who’ve contributed a lot to your pockets are also using the place you called Surau. If the Pavilion in KL can, why can’t you??

Just and just because of that, Gurney Plaza Sucks. I rather spend my money yang sedikit ni some where else yang lebih ikhlas.

Remember May 29. Apak and Mom's Wedding Anniversary!!

I’m very bad with dates and calendars. Don’t ask me about holidays, birthdays, or anything that is related with calendars.

I received this email from mom this evening.. Here goes..

33 years ago today, 29 May 2009, a couple took a journey together not knowing where it will take them except that they have each other and very much in love. There were no long term plans, no fat bank account, and no all-round support from family members and friends. What was sure was that they were gainfully employed and were totally committed to each other to make that journey last.

Alhamdullillah today they have two wonderful boys who have their feet planted on the ground with roofs over their heads, and who have grown the family to include two lovely daughters, two grand-daughters and another grandson soon to come.

The couple continues to laugh, tease, skimp, lavish each other, travel, be tested and test one another through the years. Alhamdullillah they are still together, healthy, caring and loving each other, and praying InsyaAllah that their journey together will go on for many more years to come. That Allah will continue to bless their children and families with love, health and happiness through all the trials and tribulations of life.

Again, this date just couldn’t stick in my thick head! From now on, I’ll try my best to remember it! Apalah punya anak..

Happy 33rd Anniversary Dad and Mom!

p/s: The email was sweet kan?

Suede Fever

Maybe, maybe it's the clothes we wear,
The tasteless bracelets and the dye in our hair,
Maybe it's our kookiness,
Or maybe, maybe it's our nowhere towns,
Our nothing places and our cellophane sounds,
Maybe it's our looseness,

But we're trash, you and me,
We're the litter on the breeze,
We're the lovers on the streets,
Just trash, me and you,
It's in everything we do,
It's in everything we do...

Maybe, maybe it's the things we say,
The words we1ve heard and the music we play,
Maybe it's our cheapness,
Or maybe, maybe it's the times we1ve had,
The lazy days and the crazes and the fads,
Maybe it's our sweetness,

But we're trash, you and me,
We're the litter on the breeze,
We're the lovers on the streets,
Just trash, me and you,
It's in everything we do,
It's in everything we do.

But we're trash, you and me,
We're the lovers on the streets,
We're the litter on the breeze,
Just trash, me and you,
It's in everything we do,
It's in everything we do...

Beautiful Ones

High on diesel and gasoline, psycho for drum machine
Shaking their bits to the hits,
Drag acts, drug acts, suicides, in your dads suits you hide
Staining his name again,
Cracked up, stacked up, 22, psycho for sex and glue
Lost it to bostik, yeah,
Shaved heads, rave heads, on the pill, got too much time to kill
Get into bands and gangs,

Oh, here they come, the beautiful ones, the beautiful ones

Loved up, doved up, hung around, stoned in a lonely town
Shaking their meat to the beat,
High on diesel and gasoline, psycho for drum machine
Shaking their bits to the hits,

Oh, here they come, the beautiful ones, the beautiful ones.

You dont think about it,
You dont do without it,
Because youe beautiful,
And if your babys going crazy
Thats how you made me,

La, la, la, la...

How to cheat in your exams?

This semester only, 2 students were caught cheating during their final exam. Surprisingly, both are girls. They were caught with a note at their hand. According to the rules, if they were found guilty, the girls will be charged with suspension of 2 semesters (one year), one semester for the note and another for cheating. 2 years suspension is a lot my friend! If I were them, I will be so depressed, demoralized and I do not think I can gain my momentum after the one year “break”.

So let me share with you my friend’s method on how to cheat during examination. Actually, my friend has more, but I think this is the most effective.

First, after realizing that you have to seat for an exam paper the next day, leave the disco, drive safely back to the house/hostel, treat yourself with a jug of hot Nescafe kow, fold a piece of A4 paper, make sure that the size will fit in comfortably in your underwear (for girls, a full cup bra is recommended, for boys, please skip the day je..after that, nak pakai tu pakai lah..). Proceed with your “study” and “revision” by filling up notes from the textbook systematically in every inch and space of the folded paper. You can now declare the paper as your “lifesaver”. To honour with full respect to the “lifesaver”, give it an honorary name such as “Superman” or “Toyol”.

Step 1-Read, identify and memorize.
Read the questions thoroughly. If you are confident, answer all and leave the “not sures”. Before proceeding to the next step, Understand and memorize the “not sure” questions.

Step 2-Drama
Put your left hand gently on your abs. Bend down to the table, lift your right arm and shake as if you’re shivering, try your best to grab the attention of the examiner on duty. When asked, put out a distressed face and tell him/her that you think the nasi lemak you had earlier sudah basi. Excuse yourself, run to the nearest WC. Important: RUN! Can’t run? Brisk walk is acceptable.

Step 3-Read, Identify, memorize and a little drama.
This is where your “lifesaver” comes in. While Reading, Identifying and memorizing the notes from the lifesaver, do some small distressed sound. This is to give an impression to the examiner waiting outside that you’re currently going through a “rough” time in the WC. Use that time wise and effectively because there is no second or third WC. trips unless you’re a champion drama king/queen.

All the best!

Any other methods?

P/s: to the examiners, you know what to do..

Uhm 16W 2D

Uhm got this picture taken on 15 April 2009.

Uhm, this is you at 16 weeks and 2 days old!

Shiny Happy People Holding Hands..

So much happenings and I wonder where to start? Ok, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.. here we go!

1. House

We’ve moved to a new house, and I’m happy and proud to announce that it is our very own house! Describe the house? Let’s just say that this house is way more comfortable, spacious and beautiful than the Gurun house. It is also a single story but there’s land on both sides of the house (we are slowly picking up interest in greenery), we have rooms for 2 families –attached bathroom (friends and families, the house is open to you guys. I’m just a ‘ring’ away), we have a TV@STUDIO@Office room (finally I have my own jamming studio!), dining room with a view and emmm how do I put this? The porch area can fit in 7 cars? Heheh..The house is lovely..please come to our house warming @ kenduri kesyukuran on June 6th. Interested? Do email me.. I can’t give the details here.

2. New Hobby

I’ve yet to knock down my kgs, so I’ve took up a new hobby! Cycling! I’ve spoiled myself with a 27 speed mountain bike, complete with helmet, meter, bag and tools. Thanks to all the healthy programmes on TV especially the Biggest Loser. Every weekday evening, I will cycle at least 30 minutes = 12 km. The route is quite challenging with some gradual hills at the start and the end. Enough for me to break some sweat and hardened my quadriceps (ehem!). Last week and even early this morning, I have managed to “cucuk” some friends from the office to cycle 40 km, from Gunung Jerai to Titi Hayun, mandi sungai 45 min -1 hour and cycle back to the starting point. Seriously, best gila! The ride, scenery, the outings with friends and of course the exercise was a blast! Looking forward to “cucuk” and to cycle next month!

Ok i have to stop here as it is 2:00 am already..we have just received one hell-of-a good news and i can't wait to share it with you guys!! Let's wait for the "files" to be successfully uploaded on Youtube! heheh
