Confess, I must..

The HR Department has confirmed my resignation and calculated my last working day falls on the 21st .That means I have only 3 days left in modenas..So it’s crunch time to clean all my ‘remains’ before I leave them for good.

How does it feel to leave a ‘family’ of 5 years and 5 months? Damn, this reminds me of my last day in VI Hostel. Seriously I’m no good at handling ‘perpisahan’. The strategy back then was ‘the-quick-exit’. As soon as Abang arrived, I did a quick round of salam and bro hugs, managed to pose for a last group picture then zoomed into that small Kancil with all my everything. At 3rd gear, my ‘man tears’ dropped..

My man tears dropped plenty of times during my ‘weekend husband’ era. At the bus station, train station..oh! Not in public of course..always in the car. The exact time is always after the door shut, and the ‘sound of silence’ kicked in..That’s the cue.

Will all this macho-ness fall to the ground this Thursday? I don’t think so. I’ll pray hard that it will not. InsyaAllah it’ll be rock steady! The family and I are all geared up with the weekend break plan and I have a week long of bumming around before starting in my new place on November 1st . “It-will-be-Legendary”!

I NO KOMment

I've received and replied the offer letter, I've tendered my resignation and yesterday the CEO himself called me in and ended the meeting with " good luck and all the best.." I guess it's official then. My last day as a Motorcycle Designer will be on the October 22nd 2010.

The 5 years and 5 months in MODENAS have been sweet, exciting, challenging and a life-changing experience. From zero interest and knowledge of motorcycle, I've to work hard to get to know and love them, Alhamdulillah with proper guidance, I was able to pick it up fast resulting to few of my handworks are already out there in the market and InsyaAllah my final 'masterpiece' from MODENAS will be launched next year. All these greatness would not be possible without the help and supervision of the ever generous and ever patience boss, seniors and sifoo. Can't thank them enough!



My next chapter in life will be with In0k0m Corporation Sdn Bhd. Starting on the 1st of November. Based on the info given during the interview, my main job responsibility is to help set up R&D department and to handle design matters... Should be interesting..Anyway, will only know the details after joining them.

Raya 2010 + Birthday + Umayr ++

Raya

This year's Raya was a blast! Ni lah first Aidilfitri kami bertiga (+1) in KL. As usual, the traffic going to KL and back was a bliss, hopefully tak kena 'tembak' by the police. Tradisi my family, selepas solat, 'melemang', rendang, nasi himpit and kuah kacang, we took a day trip back to Raub untuk ziarah kubur Arwah Atuk, Wan and Nyang. Special this year, instead of menziarahi saudara mara selepas itu, we went back to KL and checked-in to Shangri-La, Putrajaya.Of course before that mesti pekena Kow Po dulu di Bentong! That is a must! The retreat was more for mom and dad; a break from their 10 to 10 Cosway shop.The next day we checked in to Izza's, beraya sini sana, Thursday back to my house in no.55 then Saturday to SP because Izza kerja that Sunday.

We managed to meet only a few of my keluarga kembangan and only beraya 2-3 houses je but family Izza boleh tahan jugaklah. Banyak juga rumah kami pergi, mostly houses sebelah MIL. Sakan Umayr berjalan! All that 'Raya-ing' actually no good for Izza. In-fact few days after Raya, Izza ada pendarahan sedikit, went to a specialist dia kata Ihm ok and advised her to rest and limit kan perjalanan. So that was our Raya, yang kesalnya tak dapat nak singgah bershopping di KL and beraya with friends..next time InsyaAllah..


Umayr's First Birthday
Umayr's first birthday fell on Friday, September 17th. Tapi kita awalkan sehari since 16th is a public holiday (Malaysia Say!).Mula-mula nak buat picnic party at Lake Gardens, memandangkan cuaca and weather forecast kata thunderstorm that whole week, we scrapped that idea and proceed with pool party at Abang's. Alhamdulillah walaupun penat, it turned out great! Families of both side banyak membantu especially on foodies, yang datang on-time (specifically Abang Ridzal's yang selalu on-time!) and what is pool party without kids in the pool? Alhamdulillah ramai yang datang mengikut theme dengan membawa swimming attire and gears!

Party Umayr di meriahkan lagi dengan party stuff yang kami beli di Bangsar (next time pergi aku kena beli jugak mask 'V for Vendetta'!) , a huge balloon filled with helium with "Happy 1st Birthday Umayr" wordings on it, balloons, party packs -party hats for the kids, 'imported' soap balloon dari kedai runcit borong di Kedah. We made the right choice of having brownies instead of cakes. Tahan lah lama sikit..cup cakes ok juga, even Izza suggested those cute fancy custom-made cakes yang la ni penuh di internet, but being a cheap-o, alah! daripada cake yang hanya orang appreciate di kala tiup candle and in the pictures, better spend the extras on something else that is more memorable and useful.Anyway ramai cakap that Secret Recipe's brownies sedaaap!..Too sweet for me..


365 of Umayr Sharel

September 17th was my last post for Umayr's 365. Alhamdulillah..terlaksana juga aku capture Umayr from day zero sehinggalah day 365. My biggest obstacle for this project was when i'm not with him, notably during my outstation work to Kuantan and KL, and when he followed Izza to KL and Pangkor. Balik lambat from shopping also was a problem..because by the time sampai rumah je, member dah tidur. Most pictures yang dia tengah tidur tu di ambil di kala kami balik lewat malam la tu.

Since 17th, I've stopped snapping picture of him on daily basis. At times rasa gatal jugak tapi kena tahan. I need this break to prepare for another 365 album starting InsyaAllah next February. So what's next for 365 Umayr? InsyaAllah i will continue, instead of daily, i'll update by monthly. I will try to snap every 17th of every month. Besides that I have another project coming up..have yet to decide on its name..maybe you can help me with that. The album will feature all Umayr's toys. I will snap pictures of all Umayr's toys! Why toys? Haha masa kecik dulu i have a lot of toys, 'mereka' nilah 'sahabat' yang pertama dan yang paling baik di dalam dunia ini. Walaupun 'mereka' ni kawan yang baik, 'diaorang' tak tahan lama, patah lah, koyak lah etc. last sekali buang dalam tong sampah jadi sejarah. Nak cari mainan tu zaman sekarang ni sah dah obsolete.. plus makin tua ni, memories of the toys pun makin samar-samar..Knowing these facts, hopefully this project will able to graphically preserve all his 'assets', dah besar esok bolehlah Umayr take a trip down memorylane 'visit' his 'old friends' and most importantly able to remind him of how his parents have spent zillions of their monthly income, just to make him happy (hahaha). We love you Umayr..hehe

Umayr @ 1

• Umayr banyak bercakap. Dalam bahasa dia of course.
• Gigi baru tumbuh sebatang- bahagian bawah. Detected few days before birthday, now berdiri gagah berwarna putih..(update October 1st: jumpa 2 batang lagi! atas!)
  
• Macam dah faham apa yang kita cakap. "Bird, Cat, Dog, Kipas, Fan, Lampu, Sayang Mommy, Sayang Daddy, Bom bom" (baring atas bantal...tak tau siapa ajar ni..)
• Tahu minum dari gelas. Straw? Sometimes boleh..
• Suka korek pusat orang. Kemudian menggetarkan bibir ke perut..
• Pandai main 'cak ba cak ba'..
• Makan nearly everything yang kami makan..
• Menangis! menangis! menangis!....aiyoooosikit-sikit menangis..
• Berdiri..tapi malas nak bertateh..
• Merangkak laju gila punyaa!!
• Steering kereta..why baby loves steering wheels?
• Dah mula boleh concentrate tengok tv..pagi tadi gelak seorang-seorang tengok cartoon.

Ihm
So far Ihm is healthily soldiering on to February 2011. Siapa nak bet? Bidan yang urut izza hari tu kata " Macam girl je ni"..Dr. Tan pula cakap , "99% boy.."..Mari kita tengok siapa menang!!

Time is jealous of us

Nowadays, i find it hard to update this page. I blame solely on the 'time' factor. Sekarang ni susah betul nak cari masa lapang to do 'things'..things that i love to do even harder to allocate time for important works that i must and suppose to do. "Masa mencemburui kita"..totally agree to that..just look at this year's Ramadhan. Don't you think Ramadhan kali ni sungguh cepat? Cepat gila kan?? Pejam celik, Raya, bernafas sedikit, Umayr hit One! Pergh..and i've yet to finish up my thesis..what have i been doing?? Tak tahu lah.. i can't recall..This situation reminds me of a hadis that goes something like this:

salah satu tanda kecil kiamat adalah 'waktu semakin singkat', setahun rasanya seperti sebulan, sebulan seperti seminggu, seminggu seperti sehari, sehari seperti sejam dan sejam rasanya seperti sekejap..

SubhanAllah! Brace yourselves! Are we ready for that 'time' to hit us?
