My Room

Sharel sungguh emotional dan nostalgic apabila wujudnya perpisahan.

'Perpisahan' ini bukan sahaja merangkumi sesama manusia, malah dengan perkara lain juga, contohnya bilik hotel.

Apabila Sharel check-in bilik Hotel, beliau akan mengambil gambar terdahulu.

Seterusnya apabila nak check-out, beliau pasti akan menjenguk sekeliling bilik itu untuk kali yang terakhir dan berkata " Thank you room, till we meet again.."

Hari ini Sharel terasa sedikit sedih apabila mengetahui bahawa kamar tidurnya di Taman Seri Gombak akan dijadikan stor (mak cover-line cakap ia adalah "walk-in wardrobe").

"..ay you have two sons now.. mana muat bilik tu..?" - pujuk mak
" laa..you have a house already! and your rooms there are a lot bigger! " - pujuk mak lagi
mak sms pagi tadi, " Umayr will grow up asking "daddy you grew up in a store room?"

This was my room back in 2002. Banyak IKEA's stuff..the bed, wardrobe, drawer..etc. Nice design tapi tak tahan lama barang IKEA ni..

• Img 1- taken from "2nd floor"..nampak that small teddy bear dekat lampu? i got that from a girl in form 3..what makes it special? aku jarang dapat hadiah dari 'gegadis'.
• Img 2- Exit sign. Aku tak curi ye, beli dekat second shop di Central Square. Pintu tu cadangnya nak penuhkan with cards (ala inspired by Alice in Wonderland), tapi tak berjaya..
• Img 3- Soulfly, London trip poster and lava lamp. Izza hadiahkan the lava lamp for my birthday. Sadly dah pecah..di Sungai Petani..
• Img 4 - Notice board- my version of Pensieve. Tempat aku simpan memories.. situ aku tampal gambar Ferrari PX6139, Charade Aura WCK5020, poster gatecrasher, gambar hostel, ticker F1, GP. etc..cermin untuk tuannya yang vain..
• Img 5 - I did Keith Haring masa part 2. "Thats one pop art shit i'm talkin about y'all!"

That room lasts till 2007 where we did a 'small' rearrangement to accommodate another Tuan to the room. Single bed, upper deck bed mana sesuai untuk orang berkahwin. So since July 2007, my room telah jadi seperti ini:



This picture was taken today, emailed by mom before the transformation to 'Store'. Tak banyak berubah dari 2007, the main arrangement still the same. Boring sikitlah, Managed to maintain some of the posters and added wall racks to display my 'treasures'. Guarded by Abang Stormtrooper and abang Fett. Tak cukup lagi? A fleet of fighter jets and combat helis. And my sea water collection. NZ, Bali, Dover etc..

Tak tau apa akan jadi dengan bilik tu lepas ni.. anyway room, Thank you so much. You've been a good room to me. Sorry tak sempat nak introduce to my youngest, Anas. I will always treasure the good times we had together!


Oh..If any of my sons asked me, "daddy you grew up in a store room?"..,

I will proudly say, "YES".The best room EVER!
