Sharel Setan

Since everyone had left (and soon leaving) the company (zali and bob pursuing masters+TPM, wan -KPLI, Nazmi and Ard to Lotus Engineering, Din to some company in Penang and Pak Ku - lecturer at Poli) and they are advancing for a better life, I too don't want to be left out. So this is the master plan.

Alhamdulillah.. got that few days ago..I'll be facing another new phase in life!

Thanks to Air Asia, we were able to celebrate our first wedding anniversary/honeymoon in Bangkok! Yah yah memang awal pun..but no harm in celebrating it early kan? Since I'm too lazy to write, please sit back and enjoy the pictures..lagi pun they say "a picture paints a thousand words.."

3 years

3 years. I have been a motorcycle designer for 3 whole years. Come to think about it, it is quite cool to realize that I am one of the only 3 motorcycle designers in Malaysia (because there is only one motorcycle R&D/ Styling department in Malaysia). The feeling tu rasa macam an extinct animal.. 3 out of 2 billion. Happy 3rd Anniversary kepada diri.

Then it comes to this. Is this the time for me to move on? Is there a need for me to move to another company? For your information, work wise I’m very happy with my job. My idea of ‘the best job in the world’ is ‘paid hobby’, which is what I’m doing now. I have no problem with the work environment, except for the bosses. I guess that is normal. Who has no problem with them? Gaji. When you have a credit card, monthly bills and a jumbo amount house loan, salary IS a problem. Salary issue is so powerful that it pushes away all the good things and boosts the negatives. Resulting to loss of interest in work, laziness and of course it decreases the work performance. How to overcome this? A RAISE. Who is responsible for raising the salary? The Boss. If you have a boss whom doesn’t care about salaries and so sensitive to even talk about the subject, how are you suppose to be given a promotion?

So going back to my questions, is this the time for me to move on? Is there a need for me to move to another company?
You betcha!

On a lighter issue, We are going to Bangkok for our 4th (kot) Honeymoon tomorrow! Yang thrill about this trip ialah this is my first trip to Bangkok pakai duit sendiri..meaning duduk hotel dan bayar sendiri. Bukan company bayar, dan bukan duduk rumah. So agak challenging because the budget is tight, tapi tempat nak pegi tu banyak. Lets see.lets see…

"What you doing Bobby?"

My last entry was on 7th May.. and that time bak orang Kedah cakap, tengah ‘CIWI’ dengan my new gadget. I’m still ‘CIWI’, still exploring..and the deeper I go, the more I’m loving it. Being an ‘empty pocketed’ tech enthusiast, owning such product dah cukup best dan gempak gila punya! But at times I do miss my K750i especially the 2.0 Mega Pixel camera. Way better than my current 3.2 Mega Pixel.:(

One of the best features that my gadget has is the built in WLAN, meaning, I am able to surf the internet freely at any WIFI spots. Cool huh? Check email, surf websites, internet banking-all on the go! But last night I realized the down side of it. Izza and I went yamcha at Old Town Kopitiam (WiFi-able). As soon as we sat down,i terus keluar my phone and browsed the net. We didn’t talk or whatsoever, I was only concentrating on my phone, “tut tet tut tet” ntah browse apa sampai my hazelnut ice blended tu nak habis. Luckily my beloved wife tegur, and i was like "wooosh" back to reality world. So kiddos..especially me yang tengah ‘CIWI’,try give the technology a break. Kembalilah ke pangkal kehidupan social yang normal.

Langkawi
Last Friday, Izza and I joined abang and family in Langkawi. We managed to hop on the earliest Ferry (7:15 am) and arrived 1 hour 45 minutes later. Nothing new in Langkawi only that this time around, abang brought us to Westin for breakfast, checked out the Westin’s RM3000 per night Villa (memang cool!!). This trip I got to mandi laut sepuas-puasnya! Pantai Chenang memang best! but most importantly, dapat lepak with my big bro and his family. Priceless.

Rumah
Our house dah nearing to complete! From our last visit yesterday, pintu, tingkap semua dah pasang! They are working on the porch, pavements and the minor exteriors. So fast!
With the progress of the house going steadily plus the letter from the bank also dah sampai, next month kitaorang akan start bayar the house loan. The start of our 25 years relationship with the bank. Chaiyo!

Che Det
Also during that Langkawi trip, we stopped over at “Langkawi’s Monte Carlo”, Telaga Harbour. Memang style!! Tun really got taste! Borak with the locals, the Tun is so well loved by the Langkawians.. this guy cakap, every hotel in Langkawi ada satu bilik khas for him, and he is free to choose whereever to crash in. “Che Det bila mai sini takyah bodyguard bodyguard punya…”praises and lots of that to the former premier .
His announcement of keluar dari UMNO shocks not only the Malaysian soils, probably the world too. According to many, this is his final act of pressuring Pak Lah to step down. Tun, whatever you do pun, I am your number 1 supporter! In Che Det, we trust!

hello technology!

keperluan? atau nafsu? that has been playing in my head on and on and on since my last kl trip. susahnya duduk kl. traffic jam, parking, parking tickets, makan yang mahal dan urges yang tinggi untuk barangan yang tak penting. nasib baik duduk dan bekerja di kawasan kampung ni. alhamdulillah bolehlah skit tahan nafsu ini. by the way, sekarang ni saya sedang menulis entry ni di depan tv, jauh dari pc, lenguh-lenguh menggores stylus di monitor w960i baru ku..heheh keperluan?atau nafsu? biarlah diri ni yang judge. sekali sekala kena spoil kan diri skit kan?
