• 1 packet of Cofee
• 1 big packet of sugar
• 2 kgs of tepung gandum
• 2 packets of tepung beras
• 2 packets of Bihun
• 10 packets of Instant Noodle
• 1 jar of jam

Sawang Awang Wang

Fuuh!..sawang penuh!. Banyak sangat gangguan sehingga tak ter-update!.. Seriously banyak betul perkara yang telah berlaku!

1. Denggi

22 Julai yang lepas, aku dikejutkan oleh panggilan telefon dari mak, “..apak dalam ambulans, on the way to GH from Tang Lin..” dan diikuti dengan tangisan, “..kesian dia..tak pernah tengok dia naik ambulans..”. Aku pun call Izza, mintak dia jemput Umayr, terus balik KL. Selepas dropped Izza and Umayr di rumah In-laws, aku terus pergi HKL..pukul 11 malam dah masa tu. Nasib baik dapat masuk. Esoknya, mak tak sihat pulak, jumpa doktor, dia pulak warded! Later, doctors confirmed that my parents kena denggi virus. Apak’s lowest platelet count was 8! and mom’s 16!.According to doctors, normal platelet count adalah 170+. Apak was warded from 22nd till 28th and mom from 23rd till August 1st.

So what have I learned from this “ordeal”?

• • Dengue virus is very dangerous. Don’t take it lightly.
• • There is no cure for dengue virus. Kalau kena je, hospital akan bagi IV drops. Tak selera makan, depa bagi vitamin bagi selera..pening dan demam? Depa bagi paracatemol..denggi? tidur + IV..
• • “gas-less” 100 plus dan sup ketam adalah hidangan paling popular dan kerap dicadangkan untuk pesakit denggi. Diikuti dengan pucuk betik juice dan kiwi juice. Katanya semua ini untuk menaikkan platelet darah.
• • Besides platelet count, satu lagi yang penting untuk monitor pesakit denggi ini adalah Hematocrit..sel darah merah..level yang selamat untuk normal adult adalah dalam lingkungan 42%-54%.
• • I now have a greater respect towards hospital staffs and nurses. Bukan senang kerja depa ni..serious! Orang sakit ni macam-macam kerenah!
• • Kalau nak tidur di hospital, specifically ward 21, HKL, bawalah baju sejuk. Sebab bila malam, bagi mereka yang tak tahan, memang sejuk air-condnya. Jangan lupa bawa kerusi malas sekali! Itulah “katil” paling selesa sekali!
• • Mamat yang supply liquid IV tu memang kaya! Dalam dua hari, average at least kena tukar satu botol!

2. Ihm

I understand that it is risky to announce this early but kami tak tahan, plus berserah jelah..ada rezeki ada, kalau takda, kena ikhtiar lagi laa!

July3rd, Izza missed her period and symptom-symptom preggy mula terasa. So we bought the “magic” stick and sepantas kilatnya, the thin blue lines emerged.
Yes, Izza confirmed pregnant lagi! InsyaAllah kalau everything goes well. ETD march 2011. And automatically Umayr dapat promotion jadi “Abang”,

• • Ramai kata, “kesian Umayr..kecik lagi..” FYI, it will be 2 years Gap. Umayr 2009. and Ihm 2011. Walaupun kami rasa 4 years gap tu perfect, tapi 2 years tu oklah..Umayr ada geng lah di sekolah esok..

• • Why Ihm? Previous we called Umayr, Uhm..naturally after OOo is Iii…tak tahu lah..
• • Ramai doakan Ihm a girl. Thank you..tipu lah kami kalau tak terdetik di hati untuk second one ni girl. But again semua ni rezeki Allah, kalau DIA nak bagi boy pun ok..InsyaAllah cukup sifat dan sihat cukup..
• • Izza beritahu haritu, 1st Anniversary=berdua, 2nd Anni= berdua + Uhm, 3rd Anni= bertiga dan InsyaAllah 4th Anni= Berempatlah kami..Takkan 5th Anni nak berlima pulak kot? Haha..
• • As per today, Ihm is about 10 weeks old..doakanlah both mom and Ihm dapat menempuh trimesters dengan jayanya! Sekarang ni risau sebab Umayr sungguh attached dengan Izza, dan si hero ni sungguh ganas! memanjat dan menendang perut Izza..

3. Umayr

Our son is entering 11th months.. sungguh cepat masa berlalu! In September, during raya holidays he will be 1 year old!!! Kami tengah plan his birthday party!
As soon as we have confirmed, we will reveal the plan..hopefully jadilah…hehe
At 10 months and 3 weeks old, Umayr masih tak bergigi, namun beliau merangkak dengan sangat pantas, thanks to the baby cot, dia dah mula asyik nak berdiri, 2 kali dah Nampak dia berdiri unsupported, tapi malas nak bertateh! Dah mula pandai nak demand, kalau tak dapat benda yang dia nak dia akan menangis gila-gila, dan rumah sungguh bersepah! Tak tahan!!! Kerap “bercakap” dalam bahasa dia, menjerit dan membuat bunyi serta sering memberi senyuman yang mencairkan hati..

4. Misfortunes
Bulan ni terlalu banyak misfortunes yang berlaku keatas kami.. especially melibatkan kewangan kami..

• • Izza’s car kena langgar lori – RM700 melayang, pemandu lori tu cabut tak nak bayar
• • Frequent KL trips – walaupun aku tak merungut sebab ia memang tanggung jawab aku sebagai seorang anak tapi ia sedikit sebanyak affect kewangan
• • Windscreen Crack – Tiba-tiba kena batu..rasanya dari lori di opposite traffic,
• • Tayar Pecah – Berlaku selepas tayar pecah
• • Road Tax and Insurance – Mati bulan ni
• • Summon- 3 speeding summons – blacklisted dan masih tak renew road tax (all 3 di kuala muda, dan aku rasa speed limit dia 60km/j..WTF!!!?)
• • Izza’s Tyre pula pecah – tukar both front tyres

All that berlaku in July and early August..memang dugaan betul..bak kata bijak pandai, “Shit Happens”..Harap-harap aku tak crack under pressure..


5. Puasa
Alhamdulillah kita menemui Ramadhan kembali..bulan yang penuh hikmah, bulan untuk umat-umat Islam meng-‘kiasu’-kan diri untuk merebut pahala. Aku harap tahun ni aku akan lebih Kiasu..”Duit dan permata” telah disediakan untuk kita, takkan nak pandang je? Doakanlah semoga tulang-tulang kita ni ringan sikit untuk mengutip ganjaran-ganjaran tu ..

Umayr is 10!

Umayr turned 10 on the same day as daddy turned "18"..(ehem!)..It was a double "birthday" that 17th. After sending Izza's car to the paint shop in Gurun ( oh yeah..a lori pasir hantam Izza's car last Tuesday..her Kelisa now has a new boot and a new pair of Japan specs rear lamp..), we went to Sunway Hotel George Town to wallop Dim Sum buffet. The food were OK..normal hotel buffet food + dim sum..but the bill surprised us, RM25++ for two!It was a "Buy One Free One" promotion! It ends on July 31st...so sempat lagi ni!..

Around 4, we went to Gurney Plaza..jalan-jalan and izza treated us Chili's for dinner! I was quite full from the dim sum galore, so we shared Fajita Trio, we ordered kid's meal (free for kids under 12!) a healthy helping of spaghetti with bottom less apple juice for "Umayr" (hehe),mighty delicious mesh potato..also for "Umayr"..and Orange juice..itu pun tak habis..

Slightly after midnight, we arrived home..

Umayr belum tumbuh gigi, but Izza saw "whites" di gusi bawah..10 bulan tak tumbuh gigi ni lambat ke? Ada cakap normal, ada yang cakap lambat..but Izza macam lega, because with gusi pun dia dah gigit sakit gila..ni kan pulak nanti ada gigi...lagilaa..

Umayr sungguh active merangkak..and he crawls as fast as a speeding bullet!..laju gila! Still can't walk (at his age, is it normal?) but since we "kurung" him in the cot, dia dah rajin berdiri..of course with support (sofa and my lutut)..malas nak belajar tateh..adoi..

Umayr is so active that it is near impossible for us to sit still in 6 minutes. Sekejap-sekejap "Umayr...No!..don't go there! or don't eat that! or UMAYR!.."..penat..

Umayr now is very attached with Izza especially during bedtime..and nenen time..

He mumbles and make sounds a lot..play with his saliva, screams and loves bath time..he bangs on almost everything! from tin susu to the door grill..and he puts everything in his mouth..he nearly ate a cicak last few weeks..

Umayr recognizes Itsy Bitsy Spider/Incy Wincy Spider and If You're Happy ..And the word "Jom"..suka betul berjalan budak ni..oh! he loves the steering wheel..why lah budak-budak suka steering wheel?

The last time we weigh him, he was 8.7-ish kg..i think he had a slight drop on the kgs because he is so active now..berpeluh and all..ok lah..sakit lengan jugak dukung budak ni..

Happy 10 Months old Umayr..Mom and Dad loves you!

Sharel at 28

1. 3rd year as family man

2. To date, father to Umayr for 10 months

4. Fifth year as motorcycle designer. Been given a bigger role, bigger responsibility..

5. 77kg is still a long way to go! Damn! (taken from last year’s)

6. Family is everything. Don’t ever mess with his family..idols? William Wallace, Maximus and John Q (hehe)

7. Since Umayr, he has not been doing any part-time design services. It is an ‘art-y thing’. If the heart is not 100%, he’ll decline. He rather decline than sabotaging clients with heartless works..

8. Enjoying the neighbourhood.

9. He is now more confident calling the waiters adik.. most of his friends are in the 30s-40s, and he calls them by name. But their wife referred themselves as “kak”..funny…

10. He is turning into an “Orang Tua”. Reading E-paper is a daily routine; he enjoys Discovery and History Channel more than Star World, facebooking doesn’t excite him anymore, he likes to read news and observe politics, he is now more careful on food consumption, for health sake he tries to skip all the ‘disastrous food’ but he still smokes..

11. At 28, he is still into music but now it is hard to classify his favourite genre. Safer to say he is into all minus country, mendayu-dayu+sengau..and dangdut..no way..

12. Hope to complete his master by end of this year. A career change might be interesting..

13. Eyes and ears are always active on the look out for business opportunities..

14. There are times that he feels like he is a boring person now. Maybe because of the kampong environment..i guess he misses life in the wild and crazy steel jungle..especially his monkey mates..

How bizarre how bizarre..

Last night I just had the weirdest dream ever!! So bizarre that I can clearly recall 80% of it. Before it fades, I'll try my best to preserve it here.

I'm not making this is up. Last night, I was Lee Chong Wei! the current Badminton no.1.!! Hahaha..i'm not into badminton that much., far from being a fan of LCW. But last night I was him.

So, i was doing some warm ups on the court, jumping here and there, did some swings and smashes.. All of the sudden, my arch nemesis, Lin Dan was on the other side. The bright and cheerful ambience suddenly turned dark, spot lights were pointed directly on us and the indoor arena filled with thunderous cheers from badminton fans who came from nowhere.

i was sweating all over..maybe because of the spot lights..as i recall, i didn't do much during warm up sesion. Lin Dan on the other side made me sweat even more. With his ever-'kerek' face, ala Bruce Lee, he asked me to serve .. I was like.." emmm...ok "..

As i was about to serve, suddenly i got this weird feeling, urged me to look downward. You know what i saw? A hole on my white badminton shorts and my "mini me" (definitely not mine because the "hood" is still on..hehe ) was dangling out from it!!! Ya Allah malunya rasa!! Lin Dan and the crowd were all laughing at me!! I ran out from the stadium, in a few seconds, i was in my supposedly bedroom, scavenging the wardrobe for a replacement of badminton shorts..The Mom peeped and asked what was i doing..and i complaint.." Where are my badminton shorts???? I'm the world no. 1 and i don't have a badminton shorts in my wardrobe!!!??

Then I woke up..

Weird huh?

Ada siapa-siapa pandai tafsir mimpi??

p/s: it was just a dream of mine..it has nothing to do with the life or death of Dato' LCW and anything that he 'has' or 'has not'..

3rd Wedding Anniversary

It's our 3rd anniversary!! Gather few plutonium and fill it in the Delorean!..it's gonna be a bumpy ride back to 07/07/07!!!..reaching 88 mph!...

back to the future..

Hello World..

Lamanya tak update..Lately i've been busy with my Masters..busy, tapi hasil takde..adoi!..susahnya nak juggle kerja dengan education ni..Target to finish it by end of this year.Doakanlah supaya ia habis on time dan dengan jayanya..Amiiin..

1. Father's Day
Haritu aku nak sangat buat entry on Father's day..tapi apakan daya.. anyway, this year I celebrated my first ever Father's Day! Izza dah bagi hadiah awal.in fact tu untuk 3 tahun punya Father's day! hehe additional to that, Izza hadiahkan her delicious home cooked kai fan for lunch! Nak cairkan aku ni senang je..DIY.. masak ke, hand made crafts ke etc.. aku cukup hargai masa, kepayahan dan peluh orang yang berusaha 'menghasilkan' hadiah untuk orang lain.. Thanks Yang! But first, what is Father's Day without the child..ada anak baru layak untuk celebrate Father's day..(berjuta-juta 'anak' yang 'dilepaskan' especially pada malam afdhal tu tak kira ye...heheh). Of course Umayr is too young to understand about Father's Day..anyway Son, although at times it's kinda hard when you always prefer mom over me especially masa nak tidur and makan..i blame myself for that because i know i've not been as attentive like mom..if only i have a ' milk chest'..hmmm..i will try my very best to be the 'bestest' dad in the world for you..please remember, i will always love you son...

2. Mengawan
Cuti sekolah yang lepas memang musim mengawan yang ganas sekali..Ramai betul yang mengawan especially kawan-kawan yang terdekat ni.. Kat ofis je dah 4-5 orang, VI pun nearly 4-5 orang..tanya member-member dan jiran, average one weekend kena attend 7-8 kenduri!! Memang ganas..Nanti kita tengok birth rate on March/April 2011..rakyat Malaysia bertambah gila-gila punya! Disebalik member-member bahagia dengan jari masih berinai, seorang member aku pula problem dalam marriage dia. Same age, now separated, tengah file nusyuz..although he is my friend, i don't have the rights to judge and aku pun baru dengar sebelah pihak je..but i what i can conclude from this case, campur tangan ibu bapa. Yes kita memang sayang parents kita tapi kalau boleh lah, lepas kahwin tu, pindahlah ke rumah lain. Banyak keruntuhan rumah tangga berlaku kerana campur tangan ibubapa. Bukan nak kata parents kita tak bagus, kita bagi contohla ye..Si mak ni dah jaga kita 30 tahun..disikatnya rambut, suap makan..semua dengan penuh kasih sayang bak menatang minyak yang penuh...sekali datang pulak perempuan ni (menantu lah) nak take over kerja dia..dahlah baru kahwin, baru belajar nak tune hidup dari single life ke dunia berumahtangga..si ibu ni dah set satu standard yang tinggi..put high expectations on si menantu yang baru sebulan duduk sebumbung ni ..perit telinga lah bini kita ni!..dia dahlah nak panggil mak kita ni "mak" pun gagap-gagap lagi, dah kena pot pet..yang si laki ni pulak serba salah..takkan nak sound mak sendiri?..kena sumpah jadi batu pulak..takkan nak sound bini yang bergetah ni? nanti malam kena layan tidur tepi pasu bunga pulak..To be safe from this dilemmas, pergilah sewa rumah..build your solid family foundation first..yes, kau dah couple 14 tahun .sekolah rendah dah timbul cinta murni ni..bila kahwin ni lain..kau kahwin bukan dengan dia je, dengan family, sedara mara, member dan kucing-kucing dia sekali..

3. World Cup
Kenapa orang gelak bila aku cakap aku tak langgan Astro sports package? Perlukah semua orang, especially lelaki melanggan sports package? Adakah tidak meminati sukan membuatkan anda bukan 'lelaki' sejati? Adakah prefer tidur awal daripada bercekang mata pukul 2 pagi menonton bola membuatkan anda bukan 'lelaki'? Kenapa semua lelaki di Malaysia ni mesti suka menonton bola sepak? What's wrong with subscribing to only education and entertainment package? Pelik tapi tulah..setiap kali aku cakap aku tak subscribe sports, mesti depa gelak dan mengutuk. I enjoy sports..i like football but not to the extent of loving it..if i were to subscribe to sports, it will be because of MotoGP..but Rossi crashed during training and have now missed few races already..what is MOTOGP without Rossi??? Impossible to get his 10th World Champ crown this year..next year maybe.. anyway back to World Cup..I have my eyes on the Argentines for the finals..in the same time the Germans are quite strong too! hmmm..according to a source, they predicted Brazil and Germany to hit the finals..as always..i love the underdogs..so for the coming quarts, Go Ghana!!

4. Worklife
Pejam celik dah genap 5 tahun aku jadi Automotive Designer ni. Bunyi macam gah je, Automotive Designer..sorry to say, that title doesn't mean anything to the company. I don't get that feel of respect and appreciation towards designers yang berusaha untuk memenuhi kehendak nafsu serakah customer(nafsu kehendak), subjective issues ( cantik dan buruk adalah subjective..ikut taste masing-masing) intuitions, qualitative methods..ingat senang ke? bila kita travel, adalah suara sumbang kata buang duit company..bila keluar design yang dia kata tak cantik, kata tak cukup exposure..kita nak cari exposure, dia tak bagi..bila bagi, bagi tak ikhlas pulak..ingat exposure tu boleh dapat macam beli di 7 Eleven ke? "Encik, saya nak Design Exposure 2 kotak please.." How do you count exposure? how do you count experience? adakah dengan kerja lebih lama, dia boleh hasilkan idea lagi bagus?? tak semestinya si 10 tahun lebih skill dan lagi ber-idea daripada yang 4 tahun? Tuan, in general..design bukan datang dari buku. Design datang dari langit dan 'surat-surat Design' dari langit ni hanya sampai kepada orang-orang tertentu sahaja..Tolonglah faham dan hargai mereka ini..

5. Izza and Umayr akan kembali ke pangkuan malam ni...tak sabarnya!!
